Deer in Danger by Colin Dann
White Deer Park is a nature reserve - so why are there suddenly poachers in the area, taking pot-shots at the deer?Colin Dann was born in 1943 in Richmond, Surrey. Before gaining a career in publishing at William Collins in London, he worked for a huge textile company. At this time, he published his debut book, THE ANIMALS OF FARTHING WOOD, which was an instant hit, receiving the Arts Council of Great Britain's National Book Award for Children's Literature and being translated into sixteen languages. Six sequels and a prologue followed, and in 1992, BBC television broadcasted a major animation series based on the Farthing Wood story. He and his wife live in a house on the Sussex/Kent boundary.
