Without Nebraska, Bruce Springsteen might not be who he is today. The natural follow-up to Springsteen's hugely successful album The River should have been the hit-packed Born in the U.S.A. Warren Zanes graduated from the University of Rochester with a doctorate in visual and cultural studies. He used to be a member of the Del Fuegos and still records music. His writing has appeared in The Oxford American, and he has held the position of Vice President. He is the Executive Director of Steven Van Zandt's Rock and Roll Forever Foundation and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
