Lovato is interested in charitable endeavors outside of the entertainment industry, including charity work and other social and environmental causes.
At a National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day presented by SAMHSA in Washington in May 2013, she was honored for her work as a mentor to teens and young people with mental health difficulties.
