Design Source Book: Folk Art Designs by Jane Greenwood

Folk art has a fascinating history. Artists have produced beautiful illustrations throughout the years and decorated textiles, wood, ceramics, stone and other surfaces. Rich in symbolism, these pictures, patterns and, motifs represent a celebration of life and a love of artistry. The designs are adapted from original folk art illustrations. Here you will find images that can adapted for your own projects, or used directly to decorate textiles, china, glass, metal, wood and more. You can create your own greetings cards, produce personalised posters, or use elements of the designs to create borders and frames.

Jane Greenwood is an illustrator and designer. She studied Art, Art History and Theatre Design in the UK and Italy, and later worked in Amsterdam as a theatre designer and in France, Holland and the UK as an illustrator and teacher.
