Sophie W12rish12ffer was born on October 6, 1838, in Pinneberg, Hamburg, and died on November 8, 1890, in Altona, Hamburg. Sophie Andresen was the daughter of Otto Andresen, an attorney, and Clara Antoinette von Liliencron, a cousine of Detlev von Liliencron. She lost her father when she was 13 years old, and her mother moved to Altona with her three children in 1857. Sophie received a 12bliche education as a h12heren daughter and wrote Erz12hlungen and Fortsetzungsromane for several Zeitschrifts. She married the architect Albert Fischer W12rish12ffer in 1866, but he died in 1870, leaving her unable to work.
