Their views on political, social and ecclesiastical matters constitutes a commentary on nearly 1000 years of history. From Walter Rugg 1160 under the reign of Henry II, and including Simon Babingley 1361-1377 under Edward III, through William Adams 1708-1721 under Queen Anne, all the way up to Andrew Sangster who joined the parish in 1999 and still resides there today.
