Bob Schwartz has been a freelance writer for many years, specializing in running comedy. The mainstream running media is familiar with him. He has hundreds of amusing writings published in national and regional journals, including Runner's World, FootNotes, Fitness Runner, Michigan Runner, New York Runner, Washington Running Report, Tail Winds, Run Ohio, Oklahoma Runner, Inside Texas Running, and Arkansas Runner, in addition to his weekly syndicated newspaper column. For more than 20 years, Schwartz has been an ardent and slightly exaggerated runner. He's run everything from the 200 Meter Kids Snowman Shuffle (where he came in second after edging out a four-year-old at the finish line) to a 50-mile ultramarathon (which he has no plans to repeat).
Schwartz, his wife, Robin, and their three children live in Huntington Woods, Michigan. Running, laughing, and writing are three of his favorite activities. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Before joining Walt Disney Feature Animation as a creative consultant, B.K. Taylor has gone on to become a well-known illustrator and author.
He's contributed comic strips to National Lampoon, Hot Dog, and Dynamite magazines, as well as scholastic publications and a variety of joke books. Taylor's writing has won the Inkpot Award, the Gold Brick, seven Caddies, the Funny Bone Award, and the Ace Award. He lives in Franklin, Michigan, with his wife Kathleen and two daughters.
