Difference Equations by Walter G Kelley

Intended as a textbook for courses in difference equations or difference calculus, this book uses techniques of elementary analysis and linear algebra to investigate solutions of difference equations. The text includes sections on stability theory and chaotic behaviour, as well as exercises and applications related to the discrete modelling of economic and biological phenomena. The emphasis is on computations and applications rather than theory.
Allan C. Peterson is professor of mathematics at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Peterson, with Walter Kelley, is author of The Theory of Differential Equations, (c) 2010, Universitext. Current research interests include dynamic equations on time scales, fractional calculus, difference equations, and differential equations.
Christopher Goodrich is currently a mathematics instructor at the Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha, Nebraska.
