Katherine Redfern studies Fashion and Textiles at Kingston University, after which she spent six years working for designer Vivienne Westwood. After taking a course in Children’s Book Illustration at Chelsea School of Art she designed a pop-up dinosaur book which won first prize in the 1998 Macmillan Prize for Children’s Book Illustration. She has since published many titles with Macmillan and Campbell Books. Katherine is currently in the process of writing her first adult novel. She lives in East Dulwich with her husband and their Bengal cat, Sultan.
