Arvind Ethan David, a Malaysian-born British film producer and the founder of Slingshot Productions, is a graduate of Oxford University. In 2010, he was best recognized for producing David Baddiel's film The Infidel. Tormented, starring Alex Pettyfer, and French Cinema, starring Hugh Bonneville and Manchester United football great Eric Cantona, are two more feature films he has produced. At the 2008 Monte Carlo Film Festival, French Film won Best Actor for Bonneville and Best Screenplay for Aschlin Ditta. Dirk, based on Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, received Best Adaptation at the 2007 LA Weekly Theater Awards for David.
