Discworld Thieves' Guild Diary by Terry Pratchett
The latest in the highly-successful series of Discworld diaries, featuring extensive original material by Terry Pratchett. The Thieves' Guild celebrates its 21st anniversary with its first Yearbook, featuring an address from Lord Vetinari himself, who encouraged the setting-up of the Guild to avoid the random, unfair and disorganised crime which, until his ascent to power, plagued the great city of Ankh-Morpork. Now crime is legal, organised and run to an annual budget and everyone is happy - well, almost everyone: woe betide the unlicensed thief, highwayman or slipperlegger who tries to do business without Guild approval! Stunningly illustrated, as in previous years, by Paul Kidby.
Stephen Briggs lives in Oxford. As well as compiling THE DISCWORLD COMPANION and THE NEW DISCWORLD COMPANION, he has also co-authored the Discworld DIARIES, the MAPPS and has dramatised most of the Discworld novels. Paul Kidby discovered Terry Pratchett's Discworld in 1993 and since then has devoted his working life to the place. He is the illustrator of THE PRATCHETT PORTFOLIO, the bestsellers THE LAST HERO and THE ART OF DISCWORLD, as well as the Discworld DIARIES, cards, T-shirts, maps, mugs and, of course, the covers. Terry Pratchett is the world's bestselling living novelist, the author of 26 Discworld novels and various spin-offs. Stephen Briggs has worked with Terry on the Diaries, the Mapps, The Discworld Companion, Guards! Guards!, the graphic novel, and various other projects. Paul Kidby has illustrated the Diaries and various other Discworld projects. He and Terry are currently working on The Last Hero, a fully illustrated short Discworld novel.
