Since I was a former amateur football player and have the knowledge and resources about football, I thought I would be the right person to write this book and do it with class and style. I have watched every football player in this book play every week and have seen all of the weekly highlight shows. I have followed their entire careers and I have seen every touchdown they scored. I watched all NFL and AFL games on TV in the 60's and 70's. In 1970, when the AFL and NFL merged to become one league, I watched every game on TV during the 70's.I can remember my golden Sunday mornings and early afternoons when I played football during the 70's. I always hurried home from my games so I could watch the NFL on TV. You can ask my wonderful mother. She knew where I was every Sunday afternoon during the football season when I was young. Danny's love and enthusiasm for football began in the early 1960s, during the golden era of professional football. In the 1970s and 1980s, he played amateur and semi-pro football for almost a decade. Danny was a wide receiver who put up some impressive numbers during his storied career. He caught 302 passes for 5,519 yards and 66 touchdowns for a total of 5,519 yards and 66 touchdowns.

Danny had 15 touchdowns of 40 yards or more. He wore #19 in honor of his football hero and idol, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Lance Rentzel. Danny appreciates life's simple pleasures. He treasures the time he spends with his adoring wife and adorable kitten, Rambo.

The goal of these publications is to give former NFL great from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s the recognition they deserve so that they can be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Danny is the author of five books, the most recent of which is Trailblazers and Unsung Heroes: A License to Thrill- All-Time Football Greats of the Past (2018). Distant Memories: The NFL's Greatest Ever Players of the 1960s and 1970s, More Distant Memories: Pro Football's Best Ever Players of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, and Lost Treasures from the Golden Age of America's Game: Forgotten Heroes and Legends of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s are some of his other works. In 2017, the book Heroes of the Past: Pro Football's Vanishing Breed of Players from a Bygone Age was released.
