
Dog Days by Mavis Cheek
Written by the author of "Parlour Games" and "Pause Between", this is a novel about life after divorce. Patricia is determined to divorce Gordon, but there is a price to pay. Despite her contempt for dogs she is forced to offer a dog to her daughter.
Mavis Cheek was born and educated in Wimbledon. She worked for Editions Alecto, the art publishers, for twelve years before becoming a mature student at Hillcroft College for Women where she graduated in Arts with Distinction. She now lives with her daughter in West London. Her short stories and articles have appeared in various publications and does as much travel writing as time and opportunity permit. Her first novel, PAUSE BETWEEN ACTS, won the John Menzies/She Magazine Literary Award for 1988.
