The Doll People by Ann M Martin
Annabelle Doll is eight years old -- she has been for over a hundred years. Not much has happened, cooped up in the same dollhouse, with the same doll family day after day, year after year . . . but all that changes when the Funcrafts move in This masterfully crafted adventure is illustrated throughout with remarkable black-and-white illustrations.
Laura Godwin, also known as Nola Buck, is the author of many popular picture books for children, including Oh, Cats!; One Moon, Two Cats; and Christmas in the Manger. She is also the author of the best-selling The Doll People series with Ann M. Martin. Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, she now lives in New York City. Although John Wallace studied theology at Cambridge University, he always loved drawing. While working at the British Museum, he sharpened his craft by drawing artifacts to scale. As a children's book illustrator, he is particularly inspired by the gooniness of young school children. John and his family divide their time between Brighton, England and Long Island, New York.
