Dona Perfecta by Benito Perez Galdos
Benito P rez Gald s (1843-1920) was a prolific Spanish realist novelist, who through a lack of good translations is virtually unknown outside Spain, though he has been compared as second only to Cervantes in Spanish literature and whose work is considered to give the deepest, truest, most comprehensive realities of Spain.
Benito Perez Galdos is a key contributor to the introduction to the realistic Spanish novel of the 19th century. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1912. He is the author of many classic titles, including Marianela and Trafalgar.
