Bob Merritt is a recognized authority in the semiconductor and communications industry with over 30 years of experience. Convergent Semiconductors, LLC is his company's founding partner. Convergent specializes in exposing the influence of market and technological developments on memory and related technologies/applications, as well as projecting the opportunities provided by those changes. The field of robotics is undergoing rapid technological, market, and societal change. Merritt began his career in the semiconductor sector as a sales engineer for Intel, and his accomplishments include sales, revenue, and operational targets in marketing and operations for key semiconductor memory companies.
His consulting work has taken him all over the world, including advising the World Bank on the investments needed for semiconductor memory and other semiconductors in the Asia Pacific market. In Asia and Europe, he was also a co-author of an overall Memory Report for Credit Lyonnais Securities financial analysts. Major players in the semiconductor and electronics industries are among our global clients. He has testified as an expert witness in both the San Jose and the San Francisco Superior Courts.
Professor Memory was his prior job title at EDN, where he wrote a bi-weekly blog about advanced and innovative memory technology.
