Jerry Ahern (Axel Kilgore) is a science fiction and action writer best known for The Survivalist, a post-apocalyptic survivalist series. More than 3.5 million copies of these pulp books have been sold around the world. Using the moniker Axel Kilgore, he also wrote the heart-wrenching, action-packed series They Call Me the Mercenary. He is the co-author of over eighty international-published novels with his wife, Sharon. Jerry died at the age of 66 on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Jefferson, Georgia.
