Alastair Humphreys is a filmmaker, explorer, author, and speaker. He rode from Pakistan to China, from Land's End to John O'Groats, Turkey to Italy, Mexico to Panama, and across South America while at university. He's cycled around the world, raced a yacht across the Atlantic Ocean, canoed 500 miles down the Yukon River, rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, and hiked the length of India's holy Kaveri river. Alastair decided to stay in the UK in 2011 to encourage others to seek adventure and nature closer to home by participating in microadventures. He was named one of National Geographic's Adventurers of the Year in 2012. Alastair lives with his wife and two young children in a village outside of London (thus the microadventures!).
