Before becoming a full-time writer, John Banks worked as an educator for 18 years. He has written nearly 200 books on a variety of subjects, including tornadoes, orangutans, soccer, space travel, and more. In his spare time, John enjoys going on excursions with his granddaughter Sarah, climbing surrounding mountains, and visiting municipal cemeteries. He and his wife Helen, who is also a writer, live in Hampshire, England.
