Down The Road To Jamie's House by Beverley Birch
Annie wants to go to her friend Jamie's house but Mum is busy feeding baby Ben. As Annie well knows, feeding Ben takes hours and hours, days and days, weeks and weeks and maybe all year. So Annie packs all she needs - her explorer's hat, purple wizard fingers and other things - and sets off with her puppy. But who will rescue her when the rain starts to fall and all the houses look the same? Mum, of course.Beverley was born in London, but grew up in Kenya. She graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Economics and Sociology. After travelling in Africa, America, Europe and the Middle East, she joined Penguin as a editor. Since then she has been working continually in publishing. She combines writing with working as an editor. She has two daughters aged 14 and 17. She is married to a photographer.
Adrian Reynolds is quickly establishing a strong reputation as a picture book illustrator, with PETE THE POLO and HARRY AND THE DINOSAURS. He lives in Cambridge.
