Not only do they have to feed the dragon, whom they named Emmy, but they also have to keep her safe from the villainous Saint George, who has kept himself alive over centuries by drinking dragons' blood

KATE KLIMO is the author of the YA Centauriad series and the popular middle-grade Dragon Keepers series. Her husband and two horses, Fancy and Harry, live with her in New Paltz, New York. Kate Klimo oversaw the Dr. Seuss publishing program at Random House for more than two decades, overseeing the creation of the Cat in the Hat Learning Library books as well as the production of the PBS Kids TV show The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! I Walk at Night, which they co-wrote with Lois Duncan, was a New York Times Best Illustrated Book. They've also won a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators.
