The Drama of Mark by Morna D Hooker
Two Markan scholars share their experiences and insights from working and walking with the stories of Jesus and his disciples in the Gospel of Mark. They see Mark as a drama, and describe the way in which Jesus and other characters make their appearances and act their parts. Through it, the authors discern ways of thinking and living that derive from these stories, as put into practice in the contemporary world. Professor Morna D. Hooker is Ermeritus Professor of New Testament in the University of Cambridge and author of the Black Commentary on Mark. The Revd Dr John J. Vincent is an Honorary Lecturer in Biblical Studies at Sheffield University, and Director Emeritus of the Urban Theology Unit. Recent books include Mark: Gospel of Action and The City in Biblical Perspective.
