Drawing Blood by Poppy Brite

Sex, blood and a haunted house - from the master of gothic horror At a house in Missing Mile, just outside New Orleans, little Trevor McGee found the bodies of his brother, his mother, and the man who killed them both - his father. Twenty years later, the house lies abandoned. Trevor returns, with his lover Zach, a fugitive computer hacker, determined to uncover what drove his father to madness and murder. But in confronting the demonic forces that destroyed the McGee family, Trevor unleashes a new terror. And risks his life all over again . . . From the author of the original cult novel of vampire chic, Lost Souls, comes a graphic, gothic tale of love, lust and a haunted house of horror
Poppy Z. Brite is the author of eight novels and four short story collections. She began her career as a novelist in 1992 with Lost Souls, which has since established itself as a classic of the horror genre, followed by Drawing Blood, her cult reinvention of the haunted house tale. Her most recent work, including the critically acclaimed novel Liquor, is set in the restaurant world of her native city, New Orleans, where she lives with her husband Chris, a chef and restaurateur. They share their home with an oft-changing but always insane number of cats.
