Dr. Mark Kovacs is the United States Tennis Association's Player Development Manager of Sports Science. At Auburn University, he was an All-American and NCAA doubles champion. Following his professional career, he went on to earn a Ph.D. in Exercise Science from Auburn University. The University of Alabama awarded him a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology.

Dr. Kovacs is also a National Strength and Conditioning Association accredited strength and conditioning specialist, an American College of Sports Medicine qualified Health/Fitness Instructor, a United States Track and Field Level II sprints coach, and a USPTA certified tennis coach. Mark is also an Associate Editor of the Strength and Conditioning Journal and the author of the tennis conditioning work Tennis Training: Improving On-Court Performance.
