The assassin is Pieter Szabo, a young man from Poland with a broken life.

He is a man who's paid to kill the guilty, only to finally realize that he is once again being used by a regime. But this time, there's a different set of rules.

However, there's also another story, and a dark family secret which Pieter Szabo knows nothing about, and the shocking tale of a lost love and another life, all of which will be brought together by the cruellest twists of fate. Suddenly, he has someone to protect.
