Eclipse 1 by Jonathan Strahan
An eclipse is a rare and unusual event, when the world is transformed and the sky becomes a dark eldritch thing. It's a time when anything could happen, when any kind of story just might be true. This volume gathers together science fiction and fantasy stories.Jonathan Strahan has edited over forty books, including the Locus and Aurealis award-winning anthologies The Starry Rift, Life on Mars, and The New Space Opera (Vols. 1 & 2), and The Locus Awards (co-written with Charles N. Brown), as well as the anthology series Eclipse and the Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year. In 2010, he received the World Fantasy Award for editing, and he has been nominated for the Hugo Award for editing four times. For his criticism and review, he has won the Aurealis Award three times, the Ditmar Award five times, and the William Atheling Award. Since 2002, he has served as the reviews editor for Locus: The Magazine of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
