'Edge of Heaven' is classic dystopian sci-fi. In a city of meagre resources, under lockdown because of a mysterious virus, Boston and Danae, search for vital medicine and discover not everything is as it seems.
Kelly, Rb: - RB's first love is fiction, and she has had a number of successes with her written work. The Edge of Heaven was a winner of the Irish Writers' Centre Novel Fair Competition, while Blumelena, a speculative fiction short story, was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize in 2012 and later appeared in a science-fiction anthology, Tales from the Perseus Arm Volume 1. Long Anna River, won the Orange/Northern Woman short story award in 2003 and went on to appear in the anthology The Barefoot Nuns of Barcelona, while a third, The Night Sky in November, was runner-up in the White Tower Publishing Short Story Competition in 2008. RB has published academic essays and newspaper articles and is developing a screenplay with Northern Ireland Screen under the New Writers Focus scheme.
