A practical, pocket-sized travellers' guide to the pubs in and around Scotland's capital city. Featuring walks in the heart of Edinburgh, as well as routes through its historic suburbs and nearby towns along the Firth of Forth, it enables visitors to explore the many faces of the city.

Apart from a lifelong interest in good beer and good architecture, he is a keen walker, cyclist and organic gardener. He has been a trustee of BioRegional, the sustainable development charity, and a committee member of his local civic society. He has written many magazine and newspaper articles.
