Harry Tomlinson is a well-known bonsai artist and educator in Europe. For than thirty years, he has studied and practiced the principles of bonsai, and he is an internationally known authority on the subject. He has exhibited bonsai and won awards in both the United Kingdom and Japan, and he has judged the bonsai area at the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show in the United Kingdom. The author has been a professional bonsai artist with his own studio and a top bonsai nurseryman for the past thirteen years. Greenwood Bonsai Studio, which he and his wife Christine run, is Britain's largest and most comprehensive bonsai nursery.
