Sofa Segovia was born in the Mexican city of Monterrey. She went to Universidad de Monterrey to study communications, falsely believing she would be a journalist. Her first love, though, is fiction. She has worked as a ghostwriter and communications director for local political campaigns, as well as authoring several plays for local theater.
