Betty J.Eadie is the mother of eight children and was married to her husband, Joe, for forty-eight years before he died in 2011. She was born in Valentine, Nebraska, the seventh of ten children, and raised on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation and in Rapid City, South Dakota. Her father was Scots-Irish and her mother was Lakota Sioux. Her debut novel was Embraced by the Light. The Waking Heart, The Ripple Effect, and Embraced by the Light: Prayers and Devotions are among her other works.
