Viewing emotional experience as an active ingredient in, rather than a by-product of, the change prLeslie S.Greenberg, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Psychology at York University in Canada and the Director of the Psychotherapy Research Center. He has coedited various volumes, including Emotion, Psychotherapy, and Change; Empathy Reconsidered; and The Working Alliance, and is the coauthor of Enabling Emotional Change, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, and Emotion in Psychotherapy. Dr. Greenberg is the past President of the International Society for Psychotherapy Research and has a private practice in Toronto.
