Ruth Schmidt Neven trained as a child psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic in London, became the first Chief Child Psychotherapist at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, established the Centre for Child and Family Development in Melbourne in 1994 and writes and lectures extensively on child development.
