About the Author: Sarah Agnew The experience of being a mother combined with an avid interest in writing as a hobby inspired Sarah Agnew to write Rory's Helpers. The reaction from her kids when she told them there was no sock sprite or she wasn't a coat rack would cause them to think about the coat in their hand they desperately wanted to be freed of, was extremely positive. They thought about it, they smiled as they pictured Mom as a coat rack, and then they did something about it. After spending many hobby hours writing 2 novels, she tried to put this idea of having helpful creatures into a story and wanted to share it so it may help all the parents out there as they teach their children the simple acts of life and taking care of oneself. Being a small town girl, the books will be shared at local small town events as well as on amazon.com and amazon.ca. About the Illustrators: Carson Bowering, David Gusvanj, Katherine Franklin and Sierra Osterhout The illustrators of Rory's Helpers are four students ranging from Grade 8 to Grade 12. They were given the story and asked to draw the creatures with little guidance. It was a challenge and all of them came up with their own idea of how each Helper should look. Each of them has their own style and have brought Rory and his Helpers to life for all of you to enjoy. Whether they draw for fun or in hopes of an artistic future, they should all be proud of helping to bring this book into fruition. It couldn't have been done without them.
