Margaret Tarrant is a well-known English illustrator who is known for her lovely portrayals of fairy-like youngsters and religious themes. She worked for the Medici Society for many years, creating pictures for greeting cards. She began her career at the age of 20 and trained at Heatherley's School of Art in London and subsequently Guildford School of Art, presenting her work at the Royal Academy and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists between 1914 and 1927. She continued to paint and publish until the early 1950s.
