Carla Bardi is the author of several books on Italian cooking. Bardi grew up in southern Tuscany, where she learned to cook from her mother, aunts, and grandmother. After extensive stays in Europe and Africa, Bardi returned to Italy, where she and her husband run a small vineyard on the shores of Lake Bolsena, in Northern Lazio.
