She is currently a presenter and consultant, as well as the author of Your Child's Developing Mind, Endangered Minds, and Failure to Connect, three books about how children learn (and don't). She has been featured in national media outlets such as CNN and NPR.

Delta Kappa Gamma, the professional honor society for women educators, has twice recognized her Educator of the Year. Jane and her husband claim to have gathered the most of their knowledge by raising three sons and six grandkids.
