
Mortimer, Roger: - ROGER MORTIMER was commissioned into the British Army in 1930. He fought in Dunkirk in 1940 and was taken as a POW for the remainder of the war. After resigning from the army in 1947, he became a racing correspondent for The Sunday Times, where he worked for thirty years. He and his wife, Cynthia, had two daughters, Jane and Louise, and one son, CHARLIE MORTIMER, who is the co-writer for his book Dear Lupin.
