Ernest, the Moose Who Doesn't Fit by Catherine Rayner
Ernest is a rather large moose with a rather large problem. He is so big he can't fit inside his book! Luckily, Ernest is also a very determined moose, and he and his little chipmunk friend aren't going to give up easily. With some tape, odd bits of paper, and plenty of enthusiasm, the pair constructs an enormous gatefold page by themselves, and everything fits together in the end.
Catherine Rayner is a former English lecturer and nurse. She has served on the Bront Society's Council of Trustees and is a life member of the society. She is a member of the Bronte Society and has always been fascinated by the lives and works of numerous Victorian authors. Catherine has two children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren and lives and works in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Reading and studying a wide range of subjects, such as history, crime, archaeology, and child psychology, are two of her favorite pastimes.
When she is able, she enjoys swimming and strolling, as well as visiting historic sites and structures. Catherine has spent several years working with persons who have learning disabilities as well as mental health challenges, which has inspired her to pursue further studies in social psychology, addiction, and emotional trauma. Catherine has authored two books about the Bront sisters and is currently collaborating with her brother on a literary handbook for hikers in Haworth and its environs.
