At Yale University, James Tobin (1918-2002) was the Sterling Professor of Economics. In 1981, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for his contributions to the theoretical formulation of investing behavior. Tobin's works include The American Business Credo (co-authored with others), National Economic Policy, and Essays in Economics.
