Anglican Evangelicals are at a critical time. The furore over Jeffrey John and Gene Robinson, blessings for same sex couples in Canada, and now the prospect of women bishops has prompted breakaway churches to spring up, threatening the entire Anglican Communion. Bishops from Nigeria, Sydney, the Global South and other conservative areas seems to say, 'If you don't agree with us, you are not in Communion.' DR COLIN CRASTON is a leading Anglican evangelical and a member of Fulcrum, the network of open evangelicals. He served for 15 years on the Anglican Consultative Council including six years as Chair. Now retired, he was in parish ministry for over 50 years.
