Ted Willis has been writing for television, films, and the theatre for over 50 years. This book is an autobiography of the writer and includes his first professional writing experience in 1936 at the age of 18, through to his first play, "Buster", in 1944. The book details his plays and adaptations including "Woman in a Dressing Gown" and "Doctor in the House". Perhaps best known for his television work, in 1953 he created "Dixon of Dock Green" which was then serialized as a TV programme.
