He formed the first Sex Crimes Unit in Santa Fe County and guided it to award-winning status as a former deputy sheriff. He has also worked as an investigator for the New Mexico Public Defender's Office and as an instructor at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy. He resides in the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
