Kate Brian is a pen name used by Kieran Scott. She has written over two dozen teen novels, including the blockbuster Private and Privilege series and the ALA Quick Pick The Princess and the Pauper. Kieran has also published a number of books under her own name, including the He's So/She's So and I Was a Non-Blonde Cheerleader trilogies, the first of which received a YALSA Teens Top Ten nomination. Kieran, her husband, and their two young sons live in New Jersey.
