The Exodus Pharaoh by Colin Jaque

How and why one of the greatest stories of the bible really happened
Colin Jaque was born in London where he still lives with his wife and celebrated their golden wedding at the time this book was first published. They have two children and five grandchildren. Colin is a solicitor specialising in commercial litigation, in particular Chancery work, which often involves investigating the history of events leading to the dispute. He was drawn to that speciality as it seeks to find solutions to apparently intractable problems. He is not new to writing but his previous works relate to books he co-authored with a barrister which were then used as the official guide to chancery litigation. His life-long academic interest in Ancient Egypt, its people, history and culture has led him to challenge widely held historical inaccuracies. Using his investigative experience; this book delves into the facts surrounding ancient Egypt on which he puts a new interpretation. He has also reconciled the Bible story in Genesis and Exodus into the known history of Egypt ensuring that nothing clashes with the known facts about the Hicksos, the Hittites, the Hivites and the Kushites. Freemasonry has also provided certain facets of history which have given an explanation to obvious gaps in public knowledge. He recognises that he is unable to guarantee that the end result is absolutely accurate, but he believes that this fresher approach throws new light on previous understandings and provides reasons for the actions taken. Whilst appreciating why it was thought necessary to react in the questionable way that some of the monarchs did, he does not seek to excuse their behaviour other than to say that they did not have the learning and sophistication to know any better or to understand that they were laying the ground for destruction of the way of life they were seeking so hard to protect.
