Meisinger has experience working in healthcare, education, nonprofit, and human service settings. For the past 15 years, she has taught social work courses at the undergraduate and graduate level at St. Cloud State University and Augsburg University. Meisinger's areas of specialty include crisis assessment and response, veteran's issues, trauma, substance abuse, and LGBTQ+ concerns. She is the author of Stories of Pain, Trauma, and Survival: A Social Worker's Experiences and Insights in the Field.
