Werner Nekes is an experimental filmmaker and media-researcher who has created one of the world's finest collections of optical devices and art and ephemera relating to illusion. Marina Warner is a novelist, critic and cultural historian. Her non-fiction includes From the Beast to the Blonde: On Fairy Tales and Their Tellers (1994) and No Go the Bogeyman: Scaring, Lulling and Making Mock (1998).
