Eyewitness Explorers: 04 Insects by Steve Parker
Part of the "Eyewitness Explorers" series, this book includes practical information for children aged 7 and above with photographs and illustrations designed to help explain the concepts examined. This particular book is designed to encourage children to investigate the world of insects. The book looks at different types of insects and their habits, with close-up photography of a grasshopper in mid-air. Also included are a number of projects to get children actively involved in exploring the subject - for example how to catch and observe an insect using a pooter, a soil sieve and a pit-fall trap.
