West, Tara: - Tara West is an Irish author based in Belfast. Her first novel, Fodder, was published to wide-spread critical acclaim and established her reputation as a fresh and original new writer. Tara appears regularly at literary and cultural festivals, and has received a number of Arts Council of Northern Ireland awards for her writing. Her short stories are punchy and pithy, and give a flavour of real life in Northern Ireland. She works in advertising and is a member of the Society of Authors. Liberties Press published her novel Poets Are Eaten as a Delicacy in Japan in 2013.
