She is an award winning Director/Producer of fiction and documentary films and Certifying Master Teacher for the National Michael Chekhov Association. In 1989, Lisa suffered a severe spinal injury that altered her path. Perseverance however was high on her Girl Scout list so a never-say-can't attitude held Lisa in good stead throughout her life plus earned lots of trophies! Skills in stage combat, circus arts and acrobatics kicked off a fourteen-year acting, stunt and comedy career in New York from 1976-90. In 1980, she married Ken Kerman on a biker rally. That same year, a life-changing discovery of Michael Chekhov's Acting Technique eventually inspired Lisa to seek an on-camera career in Los Angeles as well, from 1988-2006. Her injury 12/7/89 shifted her world-no more jumping off buildings - even if she wanted. She co-founded the National Michael Chekhov Association and directed/produced fiction and documentary films from Hollywood to Russia, Europe, Caribbean and the US.
